Diwali

It is that time of the year when there is color, light, sweets all over the place. Diwali time. We had a two days off. And the 2 days also happened to be on Wednesday and Thursday. Majority of the people took Friday also off so that they could get 5 days away from the office.



I did otherwise. Now am in office with hardly any colleagues in office. The company seems to be proud that it did not declare a day off, but in the long run its a waste. For the otherwise work place occupied with 50-60 people, today there are a handful of them, but that doesnt mean any compromise in the AC or lights.


What are we trying to achieve?



Its time our HR reacts proactively. Take a look at the holiday list, and accomodate such holidays rather than waste the company's resources. A sheer waste of day in office with nothing much to do, no one to talk to. All seem to be pretty busy but dont go by the looks.. have a peek at their screen and you will find that they are busy browsing.. I am counting the number of hours left...and i wonder when it would be 5:50 and i can leave the office.

The change everyday

Am one of those who is not very keen on dressing up. Plain and simple thats me.

Am bothered a lot about my weight. The mirror sees more of me now than it would have during my teens.

I consider myself overweight and have been trying different ways to lose those inches. At times i do succeed but at times it seems like my exercises have no effect.

It is one of those special occasions where the colors for the next 9 days have been decided. I know all the females would be in sarees at least the majority of them. I too would like to drape one.

Its a task...i need to start preparing 2 days prior to the day. Washing, ironing, matching accessories.. ah..the last one is something which i look out for when i know i have none. That is when the search begins on the net about the different accessories.

And every evening preparing for the next day. And suddenly my focus changes on how i should buy matching accessories for my sarees.

I managed today with the blue saree. Not ready for the yellow one tomorrow.

Fridays gonna be the review day and i plan to wear my bottle green saree. The joy of wearing a saree becomes negative with the thought of the review.
